Danone

Since 1953, Danone started operations in Africa, when the company launched its first foreign subsidiary in Morocco. In 2015, Danone created the Africa division as a multi-category business to speed up its growth in this region. As of 2017, Africa accounts for more than 5% of the company's worldwide sales.

Danone leads in four businesses: Essential Dairy and Plant-Based Products, Early Life Nutrition, Medical Nutrition, and Waters. The company offers fresh dairy products as well as plant-based products and beverages. Consumers can diversify protein sources with Danone's diverse and ever-expanding product portfolios, such as the plant-based products and beverages line that combines natural or flavored beverages made from soy, almonds, coconuts, rice, oats, etc, as well as plant-based alternatives to yogurt and cream. They also have much research about milk, ferments, and probiotics that support gut health. They can now build on expertise in both dairy fermentation and plant-based innovation to develop and enhance their range of offerings.
