Definitive Technology is a hi-fi audio company based in Vista, California, USA. Definitive Technology's main products are hi-fi speakers, home theater speaker systems, soundbars and even headphones. The brand is also part of the audio giant Sound United, alongside other renowned audio brands such as Denon, Marantz, Classe, Polk, HEOS (Denon) and Boston Acoustics.

Definitive Technology was founded in 1990 in Owings Mills, Maryland by Sandy Gross, Don Givogue and Ed Blaise, who are also the founders of another famous American speaker brand, Polk Audio. In it, Sandy Gross plays the role of the company's first owner and chief executive officer (CEO). Its first products were monolithic bipolar loudspeaker towers.

Since its inception, Definitive Technology has quickly emerged as one of the leading premium speaker brands in the United States, and then expanded to the world market. The design philosophy of the company is towards the sharpness, fullness and absolute accuracy of the sound.
