Derek Wong Photography

Derek Wong Photography is a wedding photography studio based in Honolulu that works with couples. When photographing weddings, Derek aims to capture both the minute details and the grand, spontaneous moments. His editorial wedding work has been featured in The New York Times, Junebug Weddings, and Modern Weddings Hawaii, among other publications. In addition, he photographed the cover of Hawaii Bride & Groom magazine. Dewey Nicks, Platon, Max Vadukul, and Norman Jean Roy are among the international photographers with whom Wong has collaborated.

Derek's ambitious vision for photography evolves with each wedding he photographs. He learns to not only pay attention to the smallest of details but also to catch worthwhile moments that surprise his clients, thanks to his intelligent eye. His photojournalism is raised in order to catch all of the emotions that seem to fly by so swiftly. His professionalism and gentle nature offer him an approachable style that allows him to get close to the most private moments without jeopardizing them.
