Digital Bros
Italian video game developer, publisher, and distributor Digital Bros. Since 2007, it has published games under the 505 Games sub-brand, and in 2014, it founded the video game production school Digital Bros Game Academy. The distribution arm of Digital Bros. was established in 1989 under the moniker Halifax.
Digital Bros. has its headquarters in Milan, Italy, and branches in London, New York, Paris, Madrid, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. After purchasing DR Studios, a developer based in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, in 2015, Digital Bros. assumed control of DR Studios' free-to-play titles. The corporation has bought a 49 percent stake in the Varese-based construction firm Ovosonico. In 2017, the studio bought Kunos Simulazioni, an Italian studio that focuses on driving simulators. Kunos Simulazioni is based in Rome.
It plans to make half of its money from its own games by 2020. On March 3, 2020, Digital Bros. purchased Massimo Guarini's remaining 51% stake in the Ovosonico studio. Massimo Guarini and Guarini Design still own the Ovosonico trademark, but Digital Bros. has acquired the company's development studio and all of its workers.
