Djezzy
Djezzy is Algeria's main mobile network operator, with a 65% market share (over 16.49 million subscribers as of December 2016) and a network coverage of 90% of the population (48 wilaya). Djezzy was once a subsidiary of the Egyptian company Global Telecom Holding. It obtained its second Algerian GSM license on 11 July 2001, with a bid of 737 million dollars, and was officially launched on 15 February 2002.
In January 2015, the National Investment Fund (FNI) took control of 51% of the company's capital while its foreign partner, Global Telecom Holding (a subsidiary of VEON), was still responsible for the management of the company.
Djezzy covers 95% of the population across the national territory and its 3G services are deployed on 48 wilayas. Djezzy launched its 4G service on October 1, 2016, for 20 wilaya and pledged to cover more than 50% of the population by 2021.
Djezzy is participating in the transition to become the leading digital operator in Algeria and enable customers to navigate the digital world. The company is led by Executive Chairman Vincenzo Nesci and Matthieu Galvani, CEO.
The company offers a wide range of services such as prepaid, postpaid, data, value-added services and SUT.
