DoorDash
DoorDash is a food ordering and delivery service app founded in 2013 by Stanford students Tony Xu, Stanley Tang, Andy Fang, and Evan Moore. Initially, the app was built with a focus on comprehensive logistics for customers, but so far, DoorDash has focused solely on food delivery.
DoorDash's business model is the Y structure. It focuses on the 3 stages and ensures that these links together for smooth operation. It is to connect drivers with restaurants and customers to look up delivery times more easily.
The company uses social networks extensively to connect directly with customers. Sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram are where DoorDash is most active. As a result, they reach a huge number of new customers while maintaining relationships with existing customers.
Another method that DoorDash applies properly is to reach customers via email to notify them of discounts, promotions or any changes of the company. This adds some personal touch to the process and reminds customers of the company.
