Drakaea Glyptodon

Drakaea glyptodon is a species of orchid endemic to southwest Western Australia. This orchid bloom has another known as ‘king in his carriage.’ The flower is a member of the endangered orchid species. They are more prevalent in Australia's southwest, and the blossom resembles hammer orchids. This bloom receives assistance from male Thynnid wasps for pollination. The labellum of the orchid resembles a female Thynnid wasp very much. Because of this, pollination is simple with this flower, making it the most prevalent type of orchid in the Drakaea family. There is no spine on the column of this type of bloom. They are hence easily distinguishable. The flower's sepal, which is located at the back, is 8 to 10 millimeters long.


The two side petals measure 7-9 millimeters in length. One-third of the labellum's length is held in the manner of an insect. The area is covered in lumpy, black material. Dark maroon is used for the majority of the portion. The segment's upper portion has hair. Everyone is drawn to the flower because of its distinctive appearance. It can also dwell more closely to nature thanks to the construction. This replicating beauty is included on the list of the most beautiful orchids in the universe because of the exquisite color combination and the bright fabric.
