Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. is the motorcycle brand of the Italian firm Ducati, which is located in Bologna. Ducati is one of the most well-known motorbike brands in the world. Ducati has created a variety of motorcycle engines, altering the number of cylinders, valve actuation type, and fuel delivery.

Ducati traditionally employed multi-plate dry clutches in several of their motorcycles, while most other manufacturers use wet clutches (with the spinning portions drenched in oil). Even though the engagement may not be as smooth as oil-bath variants, the dry clutch minimizes power loss due to oil viscosity drag on the engine. However, the clutch plates can wear more quickly. Ducati has switched to wet clutches on all of their current models.
