The Duolingo app is a German language course with hundreds of short, tailored lessons for pupils. Duolingo's mission is to make language learning enjoyable and accessible to all people. The German language courses in the app are intended as games, with challenges and prizes for achieving particular learning milestones. Participants in the training are aware that pupils learn in different ways. Students may use the app to access unique Duolingo features like interactive tales, live events, and podcasts to improve their speaking, reading, and listening comprehension. While Duolingo app users laud the technology, they acknowledge that it will not alone make a novice fluent in German. In addition, the Duolingo app course does not adhere to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and does not give competency certifications.
