Formerly known as Sitka, this clothing brand has been famous among Canadian streetwear and outdoor brands since its founding. But the CEO, René Gauthier, decided to alter the name to Ecologyst (2019) to avoid a potential legal dispute with the well-known brand, Sitka Gear. From jackets, pants, and shorts to hats and accessories, Ecologyst's products are designed for outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and surfing.

The brand's clothing is durable and can withstand harsh weather conditions, making it ideal for outdoor adventures. The brand's designs are modern and timeless, and the muted, earthy tones of its products reflect the beauty of the natural world.

Ecologically sourced 100% wool insulation, organic cotton poplin lining, and a light but durable responsibly produced wool shell replace conventionally used nylons and poly/plastic insulations with all-natural and sustainably sourced materials that are warm, water repellent, and wind-resistant. Additionally, the brand utilizes a closed-loop production process that recycles all waste materials, including fabric scraps, into new products or is repurposed for other uses.
