Emergency Couple (2014)

Emergency Couple was first aired in 2014. It’s a South Korean television series starring Song Ji-hyo and Choi Jin-hyuk, with Lee Pil-mo, Choi Yeo-jin, and Clara. It aired on the cable channel tvN from January 24 to April 5, 2014, on Fridays and Saturdays at 20:40 for 21 episodes. The genre is a romantic comedy/medical drama, It's about a divorced couple whose tumultuous feelings for each other are rekindled when they become reunited years later as interns at the same hospital.

Oh Chang-min (Choi Jin-hyuk), a medical student, and Oh Jin-hee (Song Ji-hyo), a dietician, fall in love in their early twenties and are married over the disapproval of Oh Chang-min's family. Since Chang-min hails from a wealthy, prominent medical family, they will cut him off financially after he marries Jin-hee since they feel she isn't suitable for him. Chang-min abandons his aspiration of becoming a doctor in favor of a career as a pharmaceutical salesperson in order to start making money right away.

While Jin-hee's inferiority mentality grows as a result of her husband's family's continued disdain for her, he is dissatisfied at work. They begin to fight constantly and eventually get a divorce. Six years later, Chang-min has gone back to med school to pursue his dream, while Jin-hee has also put herself through med school. They end up as interns at the same hospital, where they’ll have to work in the emergency room together for three months.
