Eni SpA
Eni S.p.A. is a multinational oil and gas business based in Rome, Italy. As of December 31, 2020, it was one of the world's seven "supermajor" oil firms, with operations in 66 countries and a market valuation of US$36.08 billion. The Italian government owns a 30.33 percent golden share in the corporation, with the state treasury owning 4.37 percent and the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti owning 25.96 percent. The Euro Stoxx 50 stock market index includes the corporation.
"ENI" was originally the acronym for "Ente Nazionale Idrocarburi" (National Hydrocarbons Board). However, it continued to operate in a variety of industries following its founding, including contracting, nuclear power, energy, mining, chemicals and plastics, refining/extraction and distribution machinery, hotels, and even the textile industry and news. Oil and natural gas exploration, field development, and production, as well as the supply, trading, and shipping of natural gas, LNG, electricity, fuels, and chemical products, are all part of the exploration and production segment.
