Professor Douglas J. Emlen works for the University of Montana. In addition to being a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, he has won numerous research awards from the National Science Foundation, the Presidential Early Career Award in Science and Engineering from the White House, the Young Investigator Prize from the American Society of Naturalists, and the E.
