Experian is an Irish multinational data analytics and consumer credit reporting firm located in Dublin. Experian collects and combines data on over 1 billion people and businesses, including 235 million individual US customers and over 25 million US enterprises.

It is a component of the FTSE 100 Index and is traded on the London Stock Exchange. Experian is a USPS address validation partner. Along with TransUnion and Equifax, it is one of the "Big Three" credit-reporting companies.
Experian sells decision analytic and marketing support to businesses in addition to credit services, such as individual fingerprinting and targeting. Its consumer offerings include online access to credit history, fraud, and identity theft protection solutions. Like all credit reporting companies, the organization is mandated by US law to give consumers one free credit report each year.
