Experience a Relaxing Turkish Hammam (Turkish Bath)

No vacation in Turkey is complete without a scrub in a historical Turkish bath. All around Turkey, there are many hamams with a variety of offerings and prices. There are about 237 Istanbul hamams; about 60 are still used today. Women will receive a little pouch filled with disposable undies and a scrubber when they arrive. Men will just be given a scrubber. You'll be given a towel and pointed in the direction of the changing room after being brought to your respective locations. Put some coins in your pouch, please.

You should provide your two attendants each a 10–20% tip (and they will make a bit of a show about saying goodbye when they are finished). You will be taken from the changing room into the hamam, where you will sit on the hot marble rotunda for 10 to 15 minutes to allow your pores to expand. Then someone will come over and clean you up. You will be led to another room for your oil massage after your rinse. The final step will be a shower.
