It's a major difference: It might be difficult for women with irregular cycles to rely on an app to provide an accurate picture of their fertility. Most will take the information you provide to compute the average duration of your cycles (or the average length of most other women's cycles), and then base all subsequent fertility calculations on that. If your cycles are longer than 32 days, or if they fluctuate in length, a preset algorithm in an app may be unable to modify its forecasts for you.
