Food Education
Starting food education at the grocery store is a good idea. Bring your kid along while you shop so they can assist in selecting the products as mentioned before. Allow your child to feel the food with their hands and examine the various proteins that are displayed on the shelves. Consider taking your child to a farmers market, or better yet, an actual farm, so they can see the soil in which the fruits and veggies on their plate were grown in.
Giving your child a connection to these foods in their natural state can help them develop an authentic viewpoint. As an alternative, you may employ the farmer's market as a teaching aid. To help the kids understand what they eat, ask the farmer to show them how to raise various kinds of food. Children should have some basic concepts of how food is produced. As you cook, taste, and chat with your child about what the food is going through.
