Friends at First

"Friends at First" is a popular BL (Boys' Love) manhwa, a term used to refer to Korean comics or graphic novels with romantic and/or sexual relationships between male characters. This particular manhwa, "Friends at First," revolves around a story of two individuals who begin their relationship as friends but gradually develop romantic feelings for each other.

Everyone remembers their very first love. But Dong-Ha's first love resulted only in regret. In high school, Dong-Ha's crush Sung-Wu reciprocated his sentiments, but Dong-Ha resisted his first love out of concern for his classmates should they learn of his sexual orientation. He didn't try to communicate his genuine sentiments until much later, and by that time Sung-Wu had left his life. One day, Dong-Ha receives a box from Sung-Wu as he continues to feel guilty about hurting his first love. The book within is called "Memories of Sorrow from Gyeongseong." Dong-Ha finds himself drawn into the book's fictitious world after finishing it. And it's there that he runs into Sung-Wu from the story. Dong-Ha promises this time to never let go of his first love again.
