Funafuti Marine Conservation Area
On the western side of Tuvalu's Funafuti atoll, the Funafuti Conservation Area encompasses 33 square kilometers (12.74 square miles) of reef, lagoon, and motu (islets). The Funafuti Marine Conservation Area, which is surrounded by lush green tropical trees and transparent blue dazzling water, is a perfect place to snorkel in order to see a variety of sea life, including baby sharks.
