Gantz
Many of the horror manga on this list thrive due to their creators' imaginative design and visual execution. Gantz, a lengthy horror manga, is no different. Hiroya Oku wrote and illustrated the manga series Gantz (stylized in all caps). From June 2000 to June 2013, it was serialized in Shueisha's Seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump, with chapters collected in 37 tankbon volumes.
The story begins with two young men, Kurono and Kato, dying in a train accident and waking up in an apartment where a black orb tells them and others to go hunt aliens hiding among. It quickly descends into beautiful madness. Hiroya Oku's imagination has helped Gantz thrive. Nothing compares to Gantz in terms of story beats, impactful moments, character design, and action scenes. While the character development and impactful themes may appear to be lacking, it is the dynamic, delicious art, the blood and gore, the monstrous and imaginative designs, and the bizarre plot developments that make Gantz such an exciting and unique action horror manga.
