German European School
The German European School Manila (GESM) is considered one of the best international schools in the Philippines. It was established in 1980 and is designed to offer a high-quality education for students of various nationalities. The school consists of two branches: an English-speaking international branch and a German-speaking German branch, providing education in different languages to cater to a diverse student body.
With around 380 students from approximately 40 different nationalities, GESM provides a multicultural learning environment. The school's diverse community fosters an atmosphere of global understanding and collaboration, offering students the opportunity to learn from and alongside peers of various backgrounds.
GESM places importance on having a balanced ratio of local and international students, with a ratio of 1:2 between German and international students. The school also boasts native English and German-speaking teachers, most of whom are native or near-native speakers. This ensures that students receive high-quality language education from proficient educators.
The curriculum at GESM is recognized for its high standards and is accredited by both the German and Cambridge educational systems. Additionally, GESM is affiliated with UNESCO and emphasizes the values of international cooperation and understanding.
