Glorietta
Glorietta is a classic Makati hotspot. It has practically become a cultural landmark, particularly among Makati CBD residents who have frequented it throughout the years. Glorietta has seen several renovations since it first opened in 1991, and the mall has only grown in size since then. How large was the mall? Glorietta is one of the first malls in the Philippines to have an indoor amusement park, which is only large enough to contain a short roller coaster track!
However, as the adage goes, the more things change, the more they remain the same. After an explosion in 2007 prompted the mall to rebuild, it quickly expanded. Glorietta grew from four sections to five for a whole other building not far from the complex. This structure adds to Glorietta's growing list of retail tenants.
Despite this, Glorietta has retained its attractiveness throughout the years. Its historic activity center can now accommodate larger events, restaurant options are at an all-time high, and attractions appear to be increasing on a regular basis. Furthermore, thanks to its interaction with other retailers such as Greenbelt, The Landmark, SM Makati, and Rustan's Makati, retail therapy in Glorietta has never been easier.
