Golf Canada
Golf Canada was founded in 1895 by the Royal Ottawa Golf Club. In 1895, Alex Simpson invited all the golf clubs across Canada to the "first national golf championship" and discussed a complete plan to organize the event.
Golf Canada is the sports federation that governs golf in Canada for 300,000 golfers and 1,400 member clubs across the country. They highlight Golf Canada's mission to increase Canadians' participation and excellence in golf.
They further invested in the development of the sport and introduced more participants of all ages to golf. Golf Canada's vision is to be a world leader in golf. During their activities, they play many roles, such as charity work, setting appropriate rules for golf participation, program and player development, and championships.
