Google Shopping
The biggest and most well-known comparison shopping engine is definitely Google Shopping. Along with being linked with Google Ads, the pay-per-click platform, products uploaded to Google Shopping will also be seen in regular Google search results.
A beta benchmarking tool for product prices on Shopping advertising was also released by Google. To help you compare yourself to the competition, this tool provides three specific metrics to display:
- Average product price: the going rate for a product at the time your advertisement appeared or when it was a strong bidder in an auction.
- Benchmark product price: the typical click-weighted cost of a product across all merchants running Shopping advertisements for it.
- Benchmark product price difference: the proportional difference between the benchmark product price and the average product price for your product.
In order to search for specific items, browse departments, and view trending merchandise and promotional offers, online shoppers can either go to the Google Search homepage to enter a search query and then select the Shopping tab under the navigation bar, or they can go directly to the Google Shopping website. The Google Shopping mobile app launches immediately on the shopping homepage, where users can access their shopping lists, order histories, and notification settings in addition to conducting comparable searches or browsing.
