GSI Outdoors has devoted an entire subsection of its website to insulated products. However, the GSI Outdoors MicroLite 500 is still the brand's finest insulated bottle to date. The "500" in its name refers to the 500mL capacity; however, it is also available in a 750mL/24-ounce capacity.

We do not have quantitative evidence, but hot beverages remain boiling in this bottle - AND it seems most reviewers concur with us. While the flip cap has a somewhat more sophisticated construction, it is also really useful for traveling, and we feel it is a very pleasant feature. Also, the lock mechanism is effective; it prevents the bottle from unintentionally opening and spilling its contents while it is in your backpack. One thing to keep in mind is that you may need to carefully clean the inner cap between usage and beverages.
