Ha’apai
Ha’apai is the next island on the list of the most beautiful islands in Tonga that Toplist has compiled for you. Despite the location in the heart of Tonga, Ha'apai is largely ignored by visitors. The Ha'apai island group has 62 islands, but only the most dedicated travelers will venture beyond Lifuka, Foa, and Uolevu islands. Nonetheless, Ha'apai is the ideal location for getting away from it all.
Kayaking, snorkeling, and especially kitesurfing, are all popular activities on Ha'apai's idyllic beaches, which are protected by sheltered lagoons. Scuba diving in the crystal clear waters is a must, as is swimming with humpback whales in the uncrowded waters. In the town of Pangai, the island's hub, there are guesthouses, one cafe/restaurant, a bakery, a market, and a limited range of essential services. Travelers will either stay in a Pangai guesthouse or at one of the eco beach resorts, many of which offer an off-the-grid experience.
