He Met His Wife At His First Major Acting Job
Jackman's debut on television came in 1995 with the 10-episode, one-season prison drama Correlli. In the television show, Jackman portrayed Kevin Jones, a prisoner who had a romantic relationship with his psychologist, Deborra-Lee Furness, who is now his wife. The relationship between Jackman and Furness flourished both on and off the set. Furness first needed persuasion, but she quickly saw their love was meant to be. Less than a year later, in 1996, the couple were married, and they've been together ever since. Along the way, they watched Jackman's career take off and land him on the A-list while adopting Oscar Maximilian and Ava Eliot.
But neither celebrity nor time have weakened their relationship. Jackman and Furness continue to serve as a shining example of what genuine love should be like. “Underneath the surface where it’s real, and where it’s still and where it’s deep, that is the love I have with Deb.” Jackman gushed to People in 2017.. In addition to their timing being perfect, the Greatest Showman star believes that their initial love was also love at first sight. Before he was an A-lister in Hollywood, the couple exchanged vows, and as he put it, "I truly think it helps that we were together before all of that, so we've gone on this wonderful adventure, places we never dreamed we'd go to, and we've done it together.
