Established in 1942, Hillcrest School in Nigeria ranks third among the best American schools in Nigeria. Originally founded as a non-profit day and boarding school for missionary children and others, it has grown into a diverse learning environment. Today, most students come from Nigeria, with a good number of expatriate students, and the school welcomes everyone.

Operated by a board of governors representing Christian cooperating bodies, Hillcrest is led by a Superintendent. The school is divided into three parts: Elementary School (Kindergarten to 5th grade), Middle School (6th to 8th grade), and High School (9th to 12th grade), offering Advanced Placement classes. Notably, nearly all graduates annually secure admission to Western universities or colleges of their choice in the US, Canada, UK, Europe, or New Zealand.

Built on Christian missionary roots, Hillcrest envisions being strategically used by God as a quality international Christian school. The school's commitment is not just to education but to shaping global disciples of Christ across society, emphasizing and living our core values. Hillcrest embraces diversity, fostering a community that loves God and others, respecting and recognizing each individual as a crucial part of the Hillcrest family. Students are encouraged through prayer, grace, communication, cooperation, and shared experiences.

Discipleship is a fundamental focus, emphasizing the Great Commission of making disciples. Hillcrest invests in students' lives as witnesses to Christ's love and their relationship with Him. Students at Hillcrest are encouraged to follow Jesus, demonstrating growth in faith and displaying Christian love to others.

Being an international school, Hillcrest blesses and is blessed by God, using a U.S. curriculum and emphasizing learning about the world through a biblical perspective. Students are encouraged to learn about other people's cultures, grow as friends, and be open to serving globally, inspired by Abraham and Esther.

Moreover, Hillcrest holds accreditation from respected US-based accrediting bodies, the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and the Middle States Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges, ensuring the transfer of credits and acceptance of diplomas from Hillcrest School.
