This tiny community on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska is well-known for its thriving arts scene, excellent halibut fishing, and the famed Homer Spit. Seldovia and Halibut Cove, two secluded boardwalk towns, are easily accessible by water taxi, and Kachemak Bay State Park is also a great day trip destination.
