It may seem strange to date Dead By Daylight killers in a dating sim, but Hooked on You: A Dead By Daylight Dating Sim brings that concept to life. Hooked on You abandons the intense survival gameplay of its inspiration, the multiplayer horror game, in favor of a choice-driven visual novel romance.

Hooked on You's violence lurking beneath the surface of potential beaus is offset by a tropical getaway setting, making this a surprisingly relaxing experience. Its appeal is undoubtedly geared toward gamers who have previously played Dead By Daylight, but the game can be enjoyed by anyone.

The premise is simple: you wake up on an island surrounded by some of Dead by Daylight's sexiest killers, and instead of shanking you and hanging you on a hook, they want to play beach volleyball and smooch with you. The players select which killers they want to spend time with, participate in beach activities organized by awkward survivors Dwight and Claudette, and occasionally play minigames.

If the players are fortunate and make the right choices, they will be able to cuddle up to one of these lethal killers. They are stabbed if they are unlucky. The plot also hints at something darker going on beneath the surface, almost as if this is some kind of misery-generating machine disguised as a dating simulator.
