Hôtel Plaza Athénée
Hôtel Plaza Athénée, which opened on the famed Avenue Montaigne in 1913, quickly became one of Paris's trendiest locations, a place where the art world would routinely eat and congregate for cocktails, and the rest of the Parisian Haute société soon followed suit. It even piqued the interest of one of fashion's most illustrious figures, Christian Dior, who decided to open his atelier just next door. Hôtel Plaza Athénée chose the haute couture idea as the basis of its restoration in 2013, under the Dorchester Collection brand, based on the strong tie between the hotel and Christian Dior, as well as the fashion world of Paris.
