Hunter Mountain
The first on the list of best romantic day trips in New York is Hunter Mountain, located two and a half hours outside of the city, is a handy destination to get your skiing or snowboarding fix. There's something for everyone on its 67 trails, which include bunny hills, steep downhill runs, moguls, jumps, boxes, and rails (there's even a nearly 1,000-foot-long snow tubing slope). The Mountain Top Arboretum's 23 acres of trees, flowers, and shrubs are the closest thing to an enchanting woodland outside of fairy tales - ideal for selfies
Hunter Mountain is a popular winter destination for anybody who likes flying down a mountain at high speeds, but it's not just for skiers; there's also biking, hiking, zip line, and plenty of other warm-weather activities. Aside from the adventure, Hunter is stunning; its waterfalls and landscapes influenced the Hudson River School artists for good reason. Even though it's summer, you may still enjoy a gorgeous trip on the Hunter Mountain ski lift. (Getting to the top of the mountain is usually the most enjoyable part of skiing.)
Cost: $110 per person.
