Hyundai Energy Solutions is a subsidiary of Hyundai Heavy Industries that manufactures solar panels and systems. They recently completed the construction of a smart solar power plant in South Korea, with a total production capacity of 1.37 GW of solar modules.

The company started the solar module business in 2004 and is active in the Korean and US markets. Hyundai Energy Solutions typically manufactures world-class solar cells and modules through R&D and expansion of advanced manufacturing facilities.

Hyundai uses monochrome PERC technology with the M10 wafer as its technique applied to the solar panel manufacturing process. The company is also manufacturing shingle modules through an original design manufacturer (ODM) in China.
