IMAX
Robert Kerr, Roman Kroitor, and Graeme Ferguson formed the IMAX Corporation in 1967. IMAX movies were first created with educational and documentary goals in mind, but because of their immersive and visually beautiful experience, they quickly gained popularity with viewers.
The cinematic experience provided by IMAX is unique. In comparison to conventional movie theaters, IMAX theaters produce images that are bigger, brighter, and more immersive. To make the most of the larger format, IMAX films are also shot with specialized cameras and lenses.
The United States has a huge IMAX audience. More IMAX cinemas than any other nation in the world may be found in the US, which has over 400 of them. The American public enjoys IMAX movies a lot as well. The ten movies with the biggest domestic box office receipts in 2022 all had IMAX showings.
Depending on the theater and the movie, IMAX tickets can cost more or less. IMAX tickets cost more than regular movie tickets, though, on average. A ticket for an IMAX film often costs $20 or less in the US.
