In the Dark
Crime Show, which debuted in 2021, fulfills its promise to provide "story about people." And occasionally crime,' each episode providing a stand-alone tale that does not merely rely on the dreadfully overdone "women getting murdered" theme (though murder is a common topic). Other episodes feature scammers and identity thieves, while others feature ghosts. Additionally, we even encounter a singer whose voice was appropriated by a successful imposter in one very weird case. Not your normal true-crime podcast, this one.
This podcast, currently, looks into the six times Curtis Flowers, a Black man from Winona, Mississippi, was prosecuted for the same crime in this season. Flowers fought for his life for more than 20 years, all the while a white prosecutor worked nonstop to have him put to death.
