In 1946, two persons, Shri S N N Sankaralinga Iyer and Sri T S Narayanaswami, founded India Cements Limited. India Cement is ranked sixth among India's leading cement companies.

They possessed the vision to inspire hopes for an industrial India, the capacity to turn those ideas into reality, and the ability to forge lasting relationships and a bright future. India Cements has expanded steadily over the previous two decades, from a two-plant corporation with a capacity of just 1.3 million tonnes per annum in 1989 to a total capacity of 15.5 million tonnes per annum today.

Trinetra Cement Ltd and Trishul Concrete Products Ltd have merged with The India Cements Ltd, bringing all cement assets under one roof - India Cements.
