Indira Gandhi Zoological Park
Indira Gandhi Zoo is located in the Kambalakonda Wildlife Sanctuary in Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is surrounded on three sides by the Eastern Ghats and on four sides by the Bay of Bengal. It covers an area of 625 acres (253 hectares).
Indira Gandhi Zoo is the third-largest zoo in India and is named after former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. About 800 species of animals live in the zoo. The zoo has different areas for captive primates, carnivores, small carnivores, small mammals, reptiles, ungulates, and birds in their natural habitat.
