INSIGHTEC

Kobi Vortman and Maurice R. Ferré launched INSIGHTEC in 1999, and it has since become a leader in the field of non-invasive surgical technology. Their Exablate device ablates tissue deep inside the body using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) without the need for incisions or invasive surgery. This technique is especially effective for addressing illnesses that are difficult to access or need invasive surgery in the past.

Exablate, a non-invasive, targeted ultrasound technology that can be used to treat illnesses such as uterine fibroids, essential tremors, and bone metastases, is their main product. The company's headquarters are in Haifa, Israel, and it has offices and operations all around the world. In addition to the Exablate system, INSIGHTEC has created other medical technologies, such as a transcranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) compatible focused ultrasound system for the treatment of neurological disorders and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) compatible robotic system for use in minimally invasive surgeries.

INSIGHTEC reported revenue of roughly $100.3 million for the fiscal year 2023. INSIGHTEC has garnered multiple honors and recognitions for its breakthrough technology, including being named one of Fast Company's 2018 World's Most Breakthrough Companies. They have also gained regulatory certifications from organizations such as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European CE Mark for their products.
