Introduction to Astrophysics
This course provides an overview of the physical phenomena at work in the astronomical objects that surround us, ranging from planets and stars to cosmic filaments and galaxies like their own Milky Way to large galaxy clusters. The course focuses on the connections between theoretical predictions and observations.
This course will teach you the fundamentals of astrophysics through simplified mathematical developments. You will learn about the role of gravity in astrophysics, including gravitational lensing, as well as how matter and radiation interact. The material in this course is required for subsequent advanced astrophysics courses.
