Introduction to Databases and SQL Querying

This is an introductory database and SQL querying course. This course requires no prerequisites. If you want to familiarize yourself with the notion of Databases and Queries for your next analyst interview, this is the course for you. All you need is a Windows machine, and you will walk through everything from setting up your environment to building your first table to writing your first query step by step. This course is designed so that you may follow along with me. By the end of this course, you should be able to write simple queries such as Dates, String manipulation, Aggregation, and so on.

This course is designed for database newcomers with no prior expertise. The course will familiarize you with SQL syntax as well as introduce you to the notion of databases. There is no prior programming experience required. If you want to master more advanced and complex queries, this course is probably not for you. There are no prerequisites for this course. You will go over the fundamentals of installation, from setting up your environment to generating your first table and querying it. All videos are shot on Windows. You can, however, complete this course on MAC/Linux if you have a Windows VM installed.
