Isle of Palms
Isle of Palms, located northeast of Sullivan's Island, is a small community with one long beach that offers seemingly endless space for fun in the sun. Aside from Front Beach, the island has two championship golf courses (both of which are open to the public) and a plethora of water sports activities such as kayaking, fishing, and windsurfing. Isle of Palms is known to attract more families than Folly Beach.
The Isle of Palms is a Lowcountry hideaway just outside of Charleston. Front Beach is open to the public for swimming and sunbathing, and nesting sea turtles use the dunes to lay their eggs. The family-friendly Wild Dunes resort on the island's northern tip offers idyllic private beach access, clean beaches, water activities, and plenty of opportunities to play a round of golf or perfect your tennis serve.
