Ismoil Somoni

The noble Tajik people went on an astonishing national and cultural resurgence a millennium ago, led by the great leader Ismoil Somoni, and accomplished a priceless and renowned historical success. Somoni, who was born in the Ferghana Valley, took a very well-traveled route. He came from a line of kings, but his brother took the throne instead.
