Jemari by Junita

Jemari by Junita was founded in 2015 by Junita Mohd Nordin, a former journalist who wanted to make a positive impact on society. She started by teaching a group of women from low-income families how to sew and make handbags using recycled materials such as denim, leather, and fabric scraps. Since then, Jemari by Junita has grown to include more than 50 artisans who produce a variety of handbags, from clutches and totes to backpacks and sling bags.

Jemari by Junita is a social venture that enables women from underserved communities via skill training and revenue opportunities in handbag making. Each handbag is handcrafted with care and attention to detail, guaranteeing that each piece is one-of-a-kind and long-lasting. The materials utilized are also environmentally friendly and reused, which reduces waste and environmental impact.
