John Fredriksen is a billionaire Norwegian Cypriot tanker and shipping operator who owns the largest fleet of oil tankers in the world. He has major interests in offshore drilling rig Seadrill, fish farming company Mowi, bulk carrier Golden Ocean Group and shipping company Deep Sea Supply.
Through the investment firms Hemen Holdings and Meisha, Fredriksen controls the Frontline and Golar LNG companies. Frontline owns a 9.6% stake in another major tanker company, Overseas Shipholding Group. North Atlantic Drilling, Sevan Drilling and Asia Offshore Drilling are partly owned by Seadrill.
