John Lewis
John Lewis & Partners is a high-end department store chain founded in the United Kingdom with concessions in Ireland and Australia. The brand sells general items as part of the John Lewis Partnership, the largest employee-owned cooperative firm in the United Kingdom. Spedan Lewis, the other branch of the company's founder, John Lewis, launched it in 1929. Since 1925, the company has vowed to "never knowingly undersell" – at the absolute least, it will match a lower price offered by a prominent high-street rival.
Regardless of its shops across the world, it has its own online shopping site where it offers a broad selection of things such as home and garden equipment, furniture and lighting, men's and women's clothes, beauty products, baby products, and many more. On top of that, the John Lewis shop was founded in 1925, which is one of the reasons it is so well-known throughout the world.
During this time, the British retailer John Lewis's website had the most visitors, especially during the Christmas shopping season in December, when visitor counts to the John Lewis website peaked at 53.3 million. Since then, website visitors have steadily declined, peaking at 24.2 million in October 2021.
