Juodkrantė

Juodkrante, a little settlement on the Curonian Spit, has the same beach as Nida but has a separate access point. This beach is popular with travelers who come to Lithuania in the summer for a refreshing swim in the Baltic Sea. Accommodation is significantly less expensive in Juodkrante, and there is also direct access to the Hill of Witches. Juodkrante is a great area to go birding.

Juodkrante Beach is well-known among tourists who visit Lithuania in the late spring for a refreshing dip in the Baltic Sea. Convenience prices are somewhat lower in Juodkrante, and direct access to the Hill of Witches is also available. Juodkrante Beach is available in town, and you may also sunbathe, swim, play sports, or choose other ways to spend your leisure time. The ocean water quality along the beach is constantly monitored, and the shoreline is generally cleaned by collecting and expelling trash.

UNESCO has designated this region as a world historic site, and it contains several really distinctive features. Some of these may be found at Juodkrante, which is located in the heart of Neringa. Juodkrante, formerly a little fishing community, is encircled by the world's biggest crescent-shaped series of sand dunes. These were formerly migratory sand dunes that were changed by the wind and sea, and they are said to have buried little fishing communities on the spit. To stabilize these sandy slopes, pine woods were planted, and Juodkrante is home to the Curonian Spit old forest. The Dendrology Trail, a 1.6-kilometer short walk, allows visitors to explore this historic woodland. Along the trip, there are sixteen stations with explanations of the trees and bushes found there. The Forest Megaphone, a peculiar wooden construction in this forest that resembles a megaphone and is recognized as such, is a nice location to halt and listen to the sounds of the forest.
