Keoladeo National Park
A historical man-made bird sanctuary of Bharatpur, Keoladeo National Park was formerly known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Originally a royal hunting reserve and a game reserve in the British period, Keoladeo is now one of the most important bird feeding and breeding grounds in the world. The park is located at the confluence of the Banganga and Gambhir rivers and spreads across 2,873 hectares of grasslands, woodlands, and wetlands.
Given that it is home to more than 370 different bird species, this well-known avifauna refuge is a bird watcher's heaven. Additionally, the park is one of the must-visit locations in winter due to the number of migratory birds that arrive from Siberia, China, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan. Additionally, the only location in India where you may see Siberian cranes in the winter is Keoladeo National Park. During the winter, Rajasthan's noiseless, pollution-free park transforms into a major tourist destination thanks to its vast colonies of colorful birds.
