Kitchen Storie

The two founders of Kitchen Stories, Mengting and Verena, first met as business students. And while they discovered a shared passion for great food, they approached cooking from completely different angles. One is an experienced chef with a hobby, the other is a novice cook, inspired by different culinary experiences and moved to Berlin with an idea. From there, they took the world of cooking to a new platform and created the first cooking app based on video, user-friendly and design oriented.

In early 2014, Mengting and Verena launched Kitchen Stories on Apple's App Store. The emotive videos and high-quality step-by-step photos have resonated with their growing user base, who soon realized that the app's tagline, “anyone can cook eat” is not just rhetoric. Apple recognized the app for its premium design, engaging content, and usability, and Kitchen Stories soon topped the food category in over 150 countries.

Their success story continues with prestigious awards, such as Apple App Store's Best of 2015 and Google Play Design Award 2016, and a growing team in a new office in the vibrant heart of Berlin. Today, Kitchen Stories is available on a number of supported platforms. It offers a wide range of beautiful recipes, practical kitchen tips, and informative food articles.
