Kunal Kamra

Kunal Kamra is a commerce graduate that was born and brought up in Mumbai, India. Before being one of the best Indian stand-up comedians, he used to be a college dropout in his second year in order to work as a production assistant in an ad film. His pursuit of performing as a stand-up comedian started in 2013 when he was in a gig at the Canvas Laugh Club in Mumbai.

His comedies are often towards many absurdities of life which are based on his observational viewpoints. They include jokes about politics, cabbies, bachelor life, and ridiculous television advertisements. Especially his chat series called 'Shut Up Ya Kunal' received lots of fame from audiences that reached around up to a million views within hours of release. It features Kamra engaged in an informal discussion with other politicians and social activists from both ends of the spectrum. That series is interspersed with news of the guests contrasting their own statements to create a comic effect. By doing this, that show then led Kamra to become a widely popular comedian that often tweets lots of satirical jokes.
