La Massana
La Massana is one of the seven parishes of the Principality of Andorra, located in the northwest of Andorra. The name Massana derives from the Latin name mattianam for a variety of apples. La Massana is home to many mountains and the highest mountains in the country, typically Coma Pedrosa with an altitude of 2,942 m, this mountain is popular with mountain climbers, its ascent being technically straightforward, although strenuous.
Not inferior to other parishes, La Massana's main industry is tourism. In winter, the main activities are skiing, snowboarding, and ski cycling. In summer, the main activities are hiking, climbing, mountain biking, 4x4 trails, and canyoning. Alternatively, visitors can also discover more about Andorra's history by visiting the villages of La Massana, which allows the visitor to go back in time, cross the threshold of the Middle Ages and move to Europe a few centuries ago, to make you get a better feel of medieval Andorra.
